Spekero

FAQ

Clear answers, calm tone. If you ever feel unsure, we want it to be easy to understand what Spekero does and does not do.

Is this a medical or diagnostic tool?

No. Spekero is for practice and progress. It does not diagnose speech conditions or assess health.

Will the transcript be perfect?

Not always. Speech transcription can miss words, especially with background noise, fast speech, or different accents. That is why we label it as “What Spekero heard”.

Does Spekero judge my accent or pronunciation?

No. Spekero does not score accents or try to make you sound “native”. It focuses on clarity habits like pace and filler words.

What does “filler words” mean?

Filler words are words or phrases people often use while thinking, such as “um”, “uh”, or “like”. Many people use them, especially when nervous. Spekero simply counts patterns so you can notice change over time.

Where is my history stored?

With the free version, your session history is saved locally in this browser only. Spekero Plus account history is for people who want their speaking history available across phone, computer, and tablet.

Can I delete my history?

Yes. You can clear local history from this device. Account history controls will be expanded as Spekero Plus develops.

Is this a replacement for a speech or vocal coach?

No. It is a practice website that can support work between sessions and help you notice patterns more clearly. Coaching remains human.

Do I have to practise every day?

No. Practise when it feels helpful. Consistency can help, but pressure usually does not.

What’s the best way to use it?

Pick one simple focus per session, for example pace, fewer fillers, or a clearer structure. Record, review, and practise again when you are ready.

Still wondering something?

If a feature ever feels judgemental, confusing, or pressuring, that is not the intention. We want the product to stay calm, useful, and easy to trust.
